Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat- Faisal Bin Mouammer, the Secretary General of the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue revealed that the center intends to hold training sessions for high school students concerning the culture of dialogue. In addition, the center will be launching introductory workshops for the sixth conference for national dialogue in the thirteen Saudi provinces to entail the whole of society.

The Secretary General stated that the first session to be held by the center would take place over the coming days as well as a number of training seminars that the center will hold in collaboration with high schools in East Riyadh. Training and workshops will take place over the next two weeks in some exemplary schools for boys.

Bin Mouammer asserted that ever since the center was first established, the head committee has been deeply concerned about training and their demands were researched in daily and periodical meetings that the center held with administration officials. In a brief analytical view of the seminars that have been organized so far, Bin Mouammer stated, “what really pleases us is the increasing number of requests from authorities to hold similar seminars. This shows a willingness to help overcome any difficulties that we may have.” The center had received many appraisals for the efficient results demonstrated through the young participants from different areas of the kingdom.

Bin Mouammer also added that the beneficial experience that many young men and women gained from the training sessions is considered a great accomplishment for a prosperous national association that has recently completed its second year. He noted that the center would continue to implement its legalized programs for the training seminars. The center will also focus on increasing training courses throughout this year and in the future. The training department and workshops will continue thorough research in designing programs concerned with communication and dialogue.

Head of media and public relations in the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, Said Abu Melha, told Asharq Al Awsat newspaper that the preparatory workshops for the sixth national conference that will be held in Al Jawf and is entitled “Education, Reality, and means of development,” will “be launched over the next few weeks. These preparatory sessions that will be held in the 13 provinces of the kingdom will include all segments of society.”

Abu Melha illustrated that the center seeks to spread a culture of dialogue in Saudi society through governmental institutions that enjoy popularity such as the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and the Ministry of Education. This goal is to be achieved through holding multilateral cultural meetings with efficient participation from various groups in society.

Abu Melha mentioned that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, had wanted the sixth national conference to be held in Al-Jawf. The title “Education, Reality and means of development,” of the conference had been decided after brainstorming sessions held by the head committee of the center to measure the extent to which education responds to the requirements of the current era and the future within the context of development and human growth.
