London – Queen Elizabeth II of England has a personal account on Facebook that keeps her in touch with a small group of friends, reported the Daily Mail.

It is known that the Queen, like her mother, is fond of speaking on the telephone. However, unlike her mother, she uses modern technology, including the smartphone, that did not exist during her mother’s time.

It is said that the 91-year-old queen is able to easily send and receive text messages.

Some sources said that her phone is among the most sophisticated in the world. It is encrypted and impossible to be hacked. Queen Elizabeth constantly speaks on the phone with her daughter, Princess Anne, and her racing manager, John Warren, the son-in-law of the Queen’s great friend Earl of Caernarvon.

The royal mobile is kept fully charged at all times by Angela Kelly, the Queen’s personal assistant. The sources also revealed that the monarch also possesses an iPad tablet and a laptop, but she does not have a personal account on Twitter.
