London- On Feb 6, the Queen will become the first British monarch to reach a Blue Sapphire Jubilee, 65 years to the day since she ascended the throne. Despite this major achievement, the Queen is not expected to hold celebrations, as she decided to keep on her privacy behind the closed doors of her palace without any official plans.

The Queen will spend this day in recalling the death of her father King George V on 5 February 1952 and how she suddenly turned into from being a princess to the Queen of the country.

The Queen will spend part of the day going through her red boxes of official documents at the Sandringham House with her husband King Filipe.

Five years ago, the Queen became only the second monarch in history, after Victoria, to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee and, in 2015 she surpassed her as the longest-reigning monarch. At that time, the Queen refused to celebrate the event and respected the memory of Queen Victoria.

The Queen expressed her contentment and appreciation for the congratulations she received in a speech she delivered during her recent visit to Edinburgh, Scotland.
