Riyadh-For the second day, “Hakaya MiSK” festival continued to enhance youth talents in the fields of writing, painting, animation, and production through specialized workshops supervised by professionals.

The festival, organized by MiSK Charity Foundation, has showcased a variety of platforms designed to inspire youth and motivate them to create cultural, literary and scientific content, and to express and write their thoughts through writing, drawing, animation, and visual production.

The event organized by “MiSK Foundation” of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation in Riyadh included activities attended by more than 72,000 young men and women. These activities comprised workshops on writing, narrative dialogue and comic scenario, and another workshop on the building of trademark for people on social media websites. Department of painting and animation also witnessed workshops on drawing, e-drawing, playing the role of an animation character, and many other topics.

*Pokemon Go in Misk Festival
The electronic game “Pokemon Go,” which is considered the most popular game across the world, has inspired the animation department in the festival to launch a comic movie that features the discovery of heritage sites in Saudi Arabia while chasing the Pokemons, aiming at introducing those sites and the characteristics they hide.

Tamer Qarran, one of specialists in the animation movie sector, said that the people’s interest in animation was surprising and that many have attended workshops held on it. He also considered that the animation industry is an attractive domain and provides high revenues.

*4,000 Children in “The Small Composer”
Children’s attendance was also remarkable in “The Small Composer” department; its visitors exceeded 4,000 children over the past two days, during which they received attractive lectures on composing stories and comic books.

By launching “Misk Festival”, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation has aimed at spreading the culture of creativity, and at encouraging youth on proposing their ideas, developing their expression skills, and gaining skills by communicating with people of expertise in all creativity-related domains.
