Los Angeles – A collection of late American actor Patrick Swayze’s possessions was sold at an auction in Los Angeles, eight years after his death.
A black leather jacket worn by the actor in 1987’s “Dirty Dancing” was sold for $62,000 even though it was estimated to fetch only $6,000.

A silk shirt and a pair of sneakers he wore in “Ghost” went for a little less than $18,000. The collection was featured in the auction in cooperation with the actor’s widow, Lisa Niemi, who said that she wanted to share his possessions with people who appreciated their value.
The late Hollywood star gained a worldwide celebrity after he played the role of a choreographer in the Dirty Dancing.
He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in “Ghost”. Swayze passed away in 2009 at the age of 57 from pancreatic cancer.
