London – A company specialized in biotechnology has developed a new chewing gum that can detect cancer in a patient after being chewed for 15 minutes.

This new product may facilitate the regular testing for the diseases.

Scientists from the Alabama-based firm Volatile Analysis have developed different types of gum that can detect pancreatic, lung and breast cancer.

The new product absorbs some chemical compounds released by the saliva of the patient suffering from cancer.

According to the Daily Mail, scientists from the field said that this chewing gum may put an end to blood tests, urine samples and biopsies in this field.

The company hopes to make the gum available to doctors and patients by next year.
