London- Over the two past weeks, following the terrorist attacks in London and Manchester, a classic song “Don’t look back in anger” performed by the British band “Oasis” has become a counter-terrorism anthem in Britain.

The song, written by Noel Gallagher, was performed by US singer Ariana Grande and the British rock band “Coldplay” at a charity concert on Sunday to raise money for the victims of the Manchester bombing that killed 22 people at the end of a concert for Grande in the “Manchester Arena Square” two weeks ago.

A crowd of people also performed a version of the same song which topped music charts after its release during a protest in St. Ann’s Square, Manchester on the first Thursday after the attack. It seems that Britons who seek to resume their normal lives after the attacks, have liked the song and got familiar with it.

It is worth noting that the song has left a special echo in Manchester, as it is the hometown of Noel Gallagher and his brother Liam, the former lead singer of “Oasis”, who also sang at the concert.
