London- His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa offered the Queen Elizabeth II a book marking 200 years of relations between the British and Bahraini kingdoms. This book “Bahrain and Britain…200 Years Together” tells the history of great ties between both countries since they inked their friendship agreement in 1816, which opened the doors for deep ties in the political, diplomatic, economic, and military fields.

The book was conferred on the sidelines of the international Royal Windsor Horse Show held at the Endurance Village of the Windsor Great Park. King Hamad and Queen Elizabeth attended the race and the crowning ceremony to honor the winners of the military tournament for horse jumping on Friday.

On the sidelines of the championship, the Kingdom of Bahrain represented by the Tourism and Exhibitions Authority partook through a pavilion that featured different traditional crafts and art pieces. Members of the authority also promoted Bahrain as a tourism hub that lures many visitors and tourists from across the world.

At the end of the race, the Bahraini king shook hands with the Queen, and expressed his contentment for her generosity and greetings. He also hailed her majesty’s keenness and interest in supporting and enhancing the historic friendship ties between the two countries.

Noteworthy, relations between the two countries have been deepened during a visit paid by Prince Charles and his spouse to Bahrain in November.

During his visit, Prince Charles inaugurated two honorary stamps that feature the slogan “Bahrain and Britain…200 Years Together”, which were issued by the Bahraini ministry of telecommunications and transportation.
