Dubai- The second Arab Social Media Influencers Summit kicked off today in Dubai with the participation of more than 2500 figures of Arab influencers to discuss the opportunities and challenges of using positive communication through social media outlets to achieve the community’s interest by promoting positive intellect or encouraging its members on promoting their social entourage.

The two-day summit held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president, prime minister of the UAE, and ruler of Dubai will feature 54 speakers; the first day will include a ceremony to honor winners of Arab social media influencers during 2016, aiming at applauding individual and institutional achievements in different categories through social media outlets.

The summit is expected to include 50 sessions to discuss subjects focusing on the positive values as a mean of communication, the influence of social media platforms on humanity, exploitation of social media outlets to overcome challenges, and many topics on the influence through social media.

The event schedule also includes “social media circles” introducing a new organizational and interactional concept out of the traditional frame with the participation of inspirational figures. The circles’ topics will tackle specialized subjects and perspectives related to the future of social media networks in the Arab world. The “Summit’s theatre” will offer the audience the opportunity to take a close look on the modern trends of social media platforms and will focus on providing the influencers with a special space for better communication with people.

The summit will organize the “Nabadat” initiative aiming to promote the humanitarian activity through social media outlets across the Arab world along with the “Evening of Tolerance” with the participation of HE Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE minister of tolerance and 100 other social media influencers to come out with new ideas enhancing tolerance on social media across the Arab world.
Finally, the summit will also feature a review for the Arab Media Report 2017, which provides an integral view on the reality of the social media scene in the Arab world by monitoring all the related trends.

The Summit is expected to witness the announcement of a new initiative to contribute in enhancing the area of social media in the UAE and the Arab world.
