Kuwait, London- Since its release three days ago, an anti-violence ad launched by Kuwaiti mobile operator Zain to celebrate Ramadan went viral on the internet. The video reached over 1.3 million views on YouTube.

The three-minute video features the journey of a suicide bomber who prepares his suicide vest and heads to execute his terrorist mission. Then he meets many victims of violent acts and attacks, before he changes his mind.

“I will tell Allah everything, that you’ve filled the cemeteries with our children” is an expression said by a child in the beginning of the ad, while the bomber is preparing his vest. During the ad, the bomber confronts many victims in a bombed bus, then in an open square, a school, and a mosque.

The ad displays scenes of bombings that have left dozens of victims in Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia over the past years. Extremist groups, mainly ISIS, have claimed responsibility for the attacks.

The ad also displays people who were injured in these bombings.

Zain’s video also featured the kid Omran from Aleppo whose bloodied image in an ambulance after he survived an airstrike by the Syrian regime in August 2016 was seen around the world.

The video concludes with a positive message. The suicide bomber entered a wedding party accompanied by many children, victims, and the Emirati pop star Hussein al-Jasmi, before the expression “we will counter their attacks of hatred with songs of love” appears.

Beside the 1.3 million views on YouTube, more than 4,000 people have shared the ad on their Facebook pages, while scores of tweeters shared it on their Twitter pages.
