Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat – He has served as Chairman of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG), the premier publishing house in the Middle East, since September 2002. Prior to that, Prince Faisal worked as an assistant professor at King Saud University in Riyadh.

Prince Faisal Bin Salman was born in 1970 in Riyadh. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from King Saud University before continuing his studies at Oxford University, where he completed a Ph.D. in international relations in 1999. In addition to his extensive activities in the field of business, Prince Faisal is actively involved in a number of charitable and humanitarian organizations. He is chairman of the Charitable Society for the Care of Orphans (Ensan) and a member of the board of trustees of the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research.

Prince Faisal became a published author with his book entitled “Iran, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf: Power Politics in Transition 1968-1971”, based on his 1999 Oxford University Ph.D. thesis. The book was published by Dar An-Nahar in 2006, and bears testament to the prince’s expertise in international relations. This book is a study of Iran’s foreign policy towards the Arabian Gulf during the era of British withdrawal, and an examination of the implications and impact of this phase upon security arrangements in the region today.
