Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation announced that it would launch Masters of Arts program in Modern Arabic Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

UAB Rector Margarita Abroix said that the MA program will be part of the European Higher Education programs adopted by the Spanish universities. Abroix added that the program aims at training professionals in Arabic Studies, and targets European and Spanish students who want to deepen their Arabic linguistic and cultural knowledge.

The MA program works on developing the aptitude of Arabic Studies learners from level B1to level C2 as adopted by the European Reference Framework.

The program includes a bouquet of 50 educational units classified under the following curriculums: cultural and artistic production, intellect, religion and spiritualities, media outlets, telecommunications, history, society, and others.

Abdulaziz Sad Al-Babtain said that the establishment of this MA program comes as part of the foundation’s goals in spreading the Arabic language around the world and to dedicate the Arabic language as one of the global languages.
