London – In a new concept, a floating gym powered by human energy was designed to meander down the Seine River.

The 20-meter-long Paris Navigating Gym would was designed by Italian architects Carlo Ratti Association.

The floating gym design was adapted to use ARTIS bikes and cross trainers that power the boat using movement generated by gym-goers.

“It’s fascinating to see how the energy generated by a workout at the gym can actually help to propel a boat. It provides one with a tangible experience of what lies behind the often abstract notion of ‘electric power’,” said Carlo Ratti, founder of Carlo Ratti Association.

The transparent glass bubble design allows users to enjoy the beauty of Paris.

The idea of this gym was mainly inspired to negative energy for the sake of the environment.
