Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat – The Ministry of Agriculture has approved lifting of a ban on importing livestock from Ukraine which had been imposed on it because of reported cases of foot-and-mouth disease.

The lifting of ban was prompted by the decisions of the Paris-based 74th annual conference of Animal Production and Health Division, an affiliate of Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), which include a list of countries that are free from food-and-mouth disease and among these countries is Ukraine.
