Riyadh – Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Riyadh hosts the first Saudi-US CEO Forum 2017 in coincidence with the US President Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

The forum aims to prospect investment opportunities and reinforce right partnership between the two countries in vital sectors such as oil, gas, technology, health care, manufacturing, infrastructure, industries and aviation.

The forum – holding the slogan “Generations’ Partnership” – focuses on expanding trade scale between US and Saudi Arabia to contribute in nationalizing jobs and creating job opportunities in the kingdom in tandem with Saudi Vision 2030 and as a part of Trump’s commitment to provide job opportunities for US citizens.

It will be attended by a number of Saudi ministers and CEOs of companies and investment funds in the kingdom and US.

A number of MoUs and agreements will be signed in in the forum and more US companies will be granted opportunities to enter the kingdom, also investments in the Saudi market will be increased.

Four dialogue sessions will be held in the forum. Saudi Energy Minister Khaled Al-Faleh will participate in the session on building industrial abilities. Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid al-Qasabi will take part in the session on the kingdom’s progress in reinforcing trade partnerships. Vice Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al Tuwaijri will attend the session on privatization while Head of Public Investment Fund (PIF) Yasir al-Rumayya will participate in the session on investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.

The forum will witness participation of: Saudi Aramco President & CEO Amin Nasser, Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG) Chief Executive Dr. Ghassan Al-Shibl, Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chairperson of Olayan Financing Company Lubna Olayan, SABIC CEO and Vice Chairman Yousef Al-Benyan and Chief Executive Officer of Al Muhaidib Group Essam Al Muhaidib.

Major speakers from the US are: Chairman and CEO of The Dow Chemical Company Andrew Liveris, Citigroup CEO Michael Corbat, General Electric Chairman and CEO Jiff Immelt, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock Laurence Fink.

This forum will be held annually to discuss best practices and solutions that guarantee the sustainability and efficiency of investments between the two countries and put strategic plans to be implemented on the ground.
