DUBAI, (Reuters) – Oman LNG said on Sunday there was no damage at its Sur facilities due to Cyclone Gonu and that its commitments to clients would not be affected, the official news agency ONA reported.

The company said it had already loaded its first shipment of liquefied natural after restarting two trains at the facility after the cyclone.

Oman, an independent oil producer, has an LNG production capacity of just under 10 million tonnes per year.

“Oman LNG was able to load its first shipment after the cyclone without any impact on its commitments towards clients,” ONA quoted the company as saying.

Oman LNG closed the liquefication trains on Tuesday as the powerful cyclone started to hit the Gulf Arab state’s Arabian Sea coastline, where the plant is located.
