RIYADH,(KUNA) — Saudi and Kuwaiti Civil Aviation Authorities signed, Wednesday in Jeddah, a memorandum of understanding to increase the flights of Kuwait Airways Corporation and Saudi Arabian Airlines Company between the two countries.

KAC”s director in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, Metaab Al-Ajmy told Kuwait News Agency that the MoU has been a &#34historic achievement&#34 that would accelerate tourism movements in both States and fulfill the increasing demand of transportation between the two countries during holidays, weekends in addition to Hajj and Omra seasons.

KAC, he added, used to have six capacity-limited flights to Jeddah, five to Riyadh and four to Dammam every week.

According to the MoU, KAC would increase its weekly flights to Saudi cities: nine to Jeddah, seven to Riyadh and five to Dammam.

The flights increase would not be limited by KAC airplanes” capacities around the year, while Hajj and Omra flights would be increased in accordance with the MoU, he said.
