London- Secretary General and Executive Director of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce Dr. Afnan Al Shuaibi received Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed al-Qasabi and Prince Mohammed bin Nawwaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom, to review the Ministry of Commerce plan in the framework of the Kingdom’s “Vision 2030.”

The Saudi Minister displayed the Kingdom’s “Vision 2030” and how all government bodies and departments keep pace with it.

Qasabi used in his presentation group of slides titled “Saudi Arabia … beyond oil” to explain the most important key data forms.

Qasabi confirmed that the Kingdom occupies the 19th place as the largest economy, in the world, and the fourth in terms of growth, according to statistics of the G20.

He also noted that Saudi Arabia is ranked the twenty-ninth biggest importer and the sixteenth largest supplier in the world, which confirms the leading role Saudi Arabia plays in many areas of economy and unique development pace.

“The Saudi 31 million population is divided as 49% of them are youth aging under 25 and 60% of them age under 35,” he said, which reflects the main power the Kingdom has and thus it decided to benefit from investing them to develop the nation and provide comfortable and decent living for all.

The minister confirmed that the outcome of this youth society is reflected on worldwide internet as the number of users amounted to 73 percent of the society, and women employment rate increased up to 1800 percent, thus influencing the society positively in its various fields.

In addition to that, the Saudi Minister, and during his presentation, confirmed that Saudi Arabia seeks to become a connecting station for the three continents Asia, Africa and Europe.

This, according to him, helps in circulating the business process.
