Iranian Oil Delegation Visits Turkey | ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive 2005 -2017

Ankara, Asharq Al-Awsat- A high-ranking Iranian oil and gas delegation headed by Deputy Oil Minister Mohammad-Hadi Nejad-Hosseinian arrived here last night on a visit to Turkey, the Iranian news agency “IRNA” reported.

The delegation is scheduled to conduct negotiations as regards Iran-Turkey cooperation in the energy sector. Iranian Oil Minister Kazem Vaziri-Hamaneh is due to arrive in Turkey on Tuesday to confer with Turkey’s prime minister and top energy officials. Iran is one of the biggest suppliers of oil and gas to Turkey. Gas transit from Iran to Europe via Turkey and development of cooperation in energy-related sectors are issues likely to be discussed by officials of the two countries.
