Indo-Pak-Iranian Group to Hold Talks on Gas Pipeline Project | ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive 2005 -2017

ISLAMABAD (SPA) – The Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) Gas Pipeline Project working group will hold a meeting in Islamabad from October 16 to 19, officials said.

A meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Steering Committee of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of Cabinet constituted on the IPI project reviewed the project.

It was held prior to the upcoming Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting of Pakistan and Iran on IPI gas pipeline project scheduled from October 16 to 19.

The meeting reviewed the status of the project and provided guidance in order to negotiating and finalizing the agreements with the Iranian side in the next JWG meeting.

The Minister emphasized the importance of the project for sustainable economic growth of Pakistan, which will also prove to be a catalyst for bringing peace in the region.
