Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman launched a series of charity and developmental projects during his recent visit to Khaybar Province at costs exceeding SR100 million.
They included municipal projects at Khaybar, Al-Salsalah and Al-Ashash Municipalities at a cost of SR16 million, SR50 million and SR22 million respectively, in addition to the building of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice at a cost of SR5 million and a charity warehouse at over SR13 million.
Earlier, Prince Faisal met with Khaybar Province citizens and listened to their proposals, projects and services. He also chaired a joint meeting of the local and municipal councils, which explored achievements so far.
The two councils expressed gratitude to Prince Faisal’s efforts in upgrading the level of services provided to the citizens and his continued follow-up of services and realization of their aspirations.
During the meeting, Prince Faisal stressed the importance of developing and beautifying the province, improving its agricultural environment, and exploiting Khaybar’s tourism potentials. HRH also emphasized on the cooperation of all sectors in order to achieve objectives sought by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Prince Faisal also agreed on the formation of a committee for tourism development and national heritage in Khaybar Province, whose members include a group of selected men of thought, businessmen, intellectuals and tourism professionals, aiming at developing tourism potentials enjoyed by the province.
Moreover, Prince Faisal also stressed on the importance of further support to the local festival under the name of “Popular Heritage Festival”.
