Abu Dhabi – The 11th edition of Cityscape Abu Dhabi kicked off on Tuesday, with over 100 leading developers, architects, designers and major players in the design and construction sector showcasing their projects at the event held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The exposition will run until April 20 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

“We are expecting this year’s edition of Cityscape Abu Dhabi to be the largest in terms of announcement projects and exhibitor participation since 2011. With over 100 confirmed exhibitors and the increased development of free zones, opening up diverse opportunities for investors, Abu Dhabi is making positive steps towards its Vision 2030,” stated Carlo Schembri, the exhibition manager for Cityscape Abu Dhabi.

Organizers said that the event would dedicate more than 18,000 sqm of exhibition space this year for local and international developers to launch and showcase projects across the residential, leisure, retail and hospitality sectors.

The agenda would touch on emerging trends in investment opportunities in the UAE capital, with a particular focus on hospitality, entertainment, retail and leisure projects.

The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) said it was planning to showcase a range of important development projects in Abu Dhabi during the first day of CityScape Abu Dhabi 2017.

Falah Mohamed Al Ahbabi, Director-General of the UPC, said: “Cityscape Abu Dhabi is a very important event because of its role in defining the shape and quality of Abu Dhabi’s urban development, and a platform for communication between parties involved in building the emirate’s urban features with the public. It is a suitable opportunity for us to reveal the latest developments and updates on the Zayed City project, one of the most promising and largest projects in the UAE.”
