Aden, Jeddah- Major General Mohammed Almgdashy revealed to Asharq al-Awsat that “the Yemeni Army started to hold meetings on the level of leaders in order to investigate and discuss the information mentioned in the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) report on the Great Hall Incident.”

“JIAT has concluded that a party affiliated to the Yemeni Presidency of the General Chief of Staff wrongly passed information and conducted the operation with the Saudi-led Arab Coalition permission,” added Almagdashy.

He added that interrogations will be held to figure out the party responsible for this mistake and will be dealt with according to the army regulations.

“The Air Operations Center in Yemen directed a close air support mission to target the location without obtaining approval from the Coalition command to support legitimacy and without following the Coalition command’s precautionary measures to ensure that the location is not a civilian one that may not be targeted,” said the JIAT report.

In Taiz, field sources told Asharq al-Awsat that “the western battlefront witnessed the fiercest confrontations and that the Iraqi Army and national resistance forces along with the support of the villagers succeeded in seizing al-Khidir Mountain and al-Qihaf.”

Sources of national resistance forces in al-Zubairah combated attacks by militias as they attempted to advance towards points of the national resistance. Over 10 of the militias were killed and injured.

Moreover, a ceremony was held in the city in the presence of leaders of the national resistance, general directors of governmental institutions and social, political and civil society figures to celebrate the anniversary of 15th October revolution.
