Manama- Terror Crime Prosecution Prosecutor Khalid al-Tamimi said the two perpetrators of the June 30 terror blast in which a Bahraini woman was killed confessed their crime and re-enacted it.

An investigation launched around the attack that occurred last month on Shaikh Jaber al-Ahmed al-Sabah found that one of the suspects, who is still at large in Iran and who works for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, had tasked the two perpetrators to carry out the explosion in an attempt to target police patrols and kill their members.

He provided them with the explosive device after they monitored the movement and deployment of the police in the area of the explosion.

They placed the bomb and detonated it, killing the Bahraini woman and injuring her three children.

The perpetrators were arrested and questioned by the Public Prosecution. They were kept in custody pending the investigations.

“It was an attempt to target police patrols and kill police officers,” al-Tamimi explained in a statement.

“The 27-year-old provided them with the explosive device.”

The three Bahraini suspects have been identified as Hassan Al Hayki, 35, Hussein Marzooq, 26, and Hussain Ahmed, 27. Two were arrested in last week.
