Manama- The Bahraini Interior Ministry tweeted on Thursday that a terrorist blast slightly injured a woman near the Bahraini capital, Manama. The ministry revealed that a woman who happened to be passing in the village of Sanabis was injured, noting that relevant authorities are taking necessary measures.

Three casualties due to explosions conducted by terrorist cells were recorded in Bahrain in February – some members in these cells received training sessions in Iran and Iraq to make explosives and plant grenades that target security guards and pedestrians.

On Feb. 14, a bomb exploded in Sitra Island through a booby-laced charge planted on the road to target security patrols that pass from this location. However, a citizen happened to pass from there when the bomb exploded.

Bahraini Interior Ministry stated that “a terrorist attack caused two citizens (a man and his wife) slight injuries as they were accidentally passing by the location.”

Security operations resulted in arresting 20 wanted individuals; eight of which were trained in Iraq and Iran — Bahraini security bodies are still going after seven prisoners who have fled from Jaw Prison, after they were sentenced to life in jail on terrorism-related charges.
