Manama – A terrorist bombing west of Bahrain on Thursday evening resulted in sizable damage to civilian vehicles, without registering any injuries.

The Bahraini Ministry of Interior on its Twitter account reported on the blast, citing it at the western Budaiya Street, reiterating that the no casualties took place.

An official statement issued said that authorities are taking on necessary measures to counteract and reinstate security and stability. The ministry described the bomb explosion as a “terrorist” act.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the terrorist bombing.

OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen expressed solidarity with the Bahraini government in light of such horrendous terrorist acts that aim to destabilize the nation, terrorize innocent civilians and damage to public property.

Dr.Yousef reiterated that the OIC stands to combat terrorism in its forms all.

Ali Mohammed Ali Mohammad Hakim Alarab, 23, who resides in Hamad town, is wanted on the account of several terrorist cases.

Security authorities are pursuing Alarab, the Bahrain Interior Ministry said.

The ministry called on those who have information involving Alarab to report to authorities immediately, in an effort to accelerate the search for the fugitive.

Confidentiality has been guaranteed for anyone who reports on Alarab.
