Riyadh- Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh has considered the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud choice of prince Mohammed bin Salman as the crown prince a blessed one, expressing his wishes that the prince succeeds in achieving all what is good to the country and Muslims.

He prayed in statements to Asharq Al-Awsat, that the choice of prince Mohammed bin Salman to be the crown prince will be a support to King Salman to help accomplish stability of the kingdom, maintain the state’s entity and commit to its policies driven from the Islamic sharia and the sunnah.

He also wished the crown prince luck to serve the religion, country and nation.

The Saudi grand mufti also called on citizens to carry out their duties in pledging allegiance to prince Mohammed bin Salamn as the crown prince, affirming that Muslims should pledge loyalty to whom King Salman has chosen, abiding by the sharia rules.

Further, the Council of Senior Scholars has welcomed this choice and prayed that God grants prince Mohammed bin Salman support and luck to serve the religion, country and nation. It also pledged allegiance in its statement on Wednesday to the prince.

The Council of Senior Scholars praised the Allegiance Council approval, asserting that pledging allegiance to prince Mohammed serves the unity, delights friends and upsets enemies.
