Riyadh-Alsalam Aircraft Company, the leading aircraft maintenance, repairs and overhaul company in Riyadh has changed its identity to “Alsalam Aerospace Industries.”
This change is part of an integrated and holistic program in which the company has launched in line with its technical advancements in the aerospace industry.
Alsalam has progressed from its core capabilities of the maintenance, repair modification and upgrade of aircraft to the assembly of military aircraft and the manufacture of major military components.
The company has developed its technical and non-technical capabilities and established itself as a regional leader and the Kingdom’s premier provider of aerospace products and services for military and commercial aircraft.
The President and Chief Executive Officer of Alsalam Aerospace Industries Yahya al-Ghoraibi said changing the company’s name, introducing the new corporate brand identity and transforming the company to include manufacturing reflects our continuous efforts to develop the aircraft industry in the Kingdom.
Ghoraibi said that the upcoming decade will witness the manufacturing of some aircrafts while this year will witness the manufacturing of airplane spare parts.
He confirmed that 90 percent of the structural materials will be manufactured internally within 2030.
In a press conference on Monday, Ghoraibi explained that the company has conducted amendments on helicopters of the military fleet affiliated with the Interior Ministry.
He noted that many discussions are carried out with other government agencies such as the Saudi Arabian National Guard and the Red Crescent to carry out maintenance work.
The CEO pointed out that there are different types of maintenance; daily, monthly and quarter annually. In case any of the equipment of the aircrafts was developed, the company applies this development in cooperation with specialized military parties.
