Riyadh- Chairman of Saudi Council of Senior Scholars Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh said that the council will resume its supervising role according to its specialization, hailing the projects and agreements achieved by the council during the fourth year of the sixth cycle.

In his statements to Asharq al-Awsat, Ash-Sheikh stressed the content of the annual speech delivered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz—the speech was made during inauguration of first year work of plan of the council’s seventh cycle.

King Salman, in his speech, determined main features of Saudi internal and foreign policy and asserted that the council will continue to adopt steps that serve citizens’ ambitions.

Ash-Sheikh also praised the role of the council, throughout past years, in building tight parliamentary relations—these solid relations led to successes and contributed in it turn in reinforcing connections with other countries’ parliaments.

He added that the council is receiving support and attention from the leadership, hence the council members will exert best efforts to fulfil ambitions of King Salman and citizens.

“Saudi Vision 2030 is a unique way to plan, construct and develop by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and it represents a corner stone to the future of a pioneering country in various fields,” Ash-Sheikh added.
