Riyadh – King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSCRHA) sent on Tuesday aid of clothes and dates to seven Yemeni governorates: Taiz, Lahj, Shabwa, Sanaa, Maerib, al-Jawf, and Aden.

The center sent 8.27 tons of dates and 7 tons of clothes to about 560,000 Yemeni citizens of about $2.4 million value. In addition, the center pointed out that authorized organizations will distribute the clothes and dates to those who are needy. It added that the organizations send periodical field reports about the situation to the center to evaluate the conditions and send suitable relief to those in need.

Yemeni Minister of Local Administration and chairman of the Higher Committee for Relief in Yemen Abdul Raqeeb Fateh confirmed that KSCRHA continues to provide Yemeni citizens with various humanitarian aid including food and medical supplies.

The minister stated that about 65 percent of the humanitarian aids were sent to Yemen through countries of the Arab coalition supporting the legitimacy in Yemen, which is enough to silence all those claiming that the humanitarian aids only enter areas under the control of the legitimacy forces. He stressed that the center sends aid to all governorates irrespective of their affiliations, adding that Saada received about 220 tons of aids.

He called upon humanitarian organizations to pressure the armed militias to allow aid passage to all governorates.

Fateh pointed out that the higher committee of the King Salman’s center presented information about the health and relief missions in all Yemeni governorates. Contrary to what has been rumored, the center also sent emergent aids to Mokha port after its liberation, according to the minister.

In a related matter, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ministerial council approved Saudi Arabia’s nomination for Madkhal al-Hathali as the GCC Secretary General’s special envoy to Yemen during a recent meeting in Riyadh.
