Riyadh- King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aids sent on Sunday a new convoy carrying humanitarian aids to Yemen.

Adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah explained that 1631 tons of aids were sent via 90 convoys that will distribute more than 70 thousand food baskets in Hadramaut, al-Jawf and Ma’rib.
The aids will be distributed in cooperation with Mohammed and Abdullah Alsubeaei Charity Foundation and they aim at alleviating the suffering of citizens in Yemen coinciding with the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan.

Rabiah noted that the center offers several programs related to children and women in Yemen. These programs, he said, are implemented in cooperation with U.N. organizations, especially The United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The programs are implemented directly with the Yemeni civil society institutions, he added; pointing out that King Salman Center provides its services for all Yemenis.

Rabiah confirmed that the center works with civil society institutions in Yemen to deliver all the aids under the guidance of different parties that make sure these aids are given to the needy people in the country.

The General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center noted that the directives given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, stress on making sure these aids are delivered to all Yemeni Provinces without any exception.

He said that the center provides specialized aid programs for Taiz Province, which suffers from siege.

He also called on all the international institutions and organizations to take action in Yemen, stressing that meetings are constantly convened with organizations that have signed deals with the center to guarantee rapid and integral implementation.
