On the 19th of May 2014 in Dubai, a news conference was held to announce a new real estate project that includes a golf course. The conference took place in a tent that was equipped to host a great real estate figure and a number of companies taking part in the project.
Donald Trump showed up with a usual bustle and stepped out of a luxurious vehicle — he attended to talk about his company’s participation in this real estate project, coming in his private plane from Scotland.

Wearing a smile on his face and his usual red cravat, he headed towards the designs of the golf course; expected to be fully constructed in the beginning of 2017. Trump did not hide enjoying the photographers following him along with his daughter Ivanka.

The conference was over and Asharq al-Awsat reporter asked Trump if he has future projects in Saudi Arabia, he replied that he has plans on the way.

Trump did not have a mobile back then but used to receive phone calls through his undersecretary. He only had a cup of water during the news conference and thanked Asharq al-Awsat for publishing this dialogue. His visit schedule was tight, spending only two days in Dubai.

Trump and his daughter made a tour in the golf course project, he stated “it’s great, I loved it.” He even surprised the attendees with his skills in playing golf and promised that this project will not stand out in the Middle East but also worldwide.

Those interested in the U.S. policy know that politicians there might change their opinions easily just for the sake of gaining more votes. Trump’s speech might change once he enters the White House.
