Cologne – Public Prosecution in Bremen confirmed what Bild newspaper has published on arresting two Germans in Turkey in the framework of an arrest campaign launched by the Turkish security forces few days ago.

Adnan Sutkovic from Bremen and Zulhajrat Seadini from Hamburg were arrested by police after crossing the border from Syria.

The pair – who it is feared were planning an attack in Europe – had been sought by Interpol after travelling to the Middle Eastern warzone in April 2015.

The men received hair transplants in Ankara after entering Turkey in order to avoid being detected, according to Turkish media.

They stand accused of membership of a terrorist organization and official documentary fraud, and both deny charges of terrorism, according to Konhaber, claiming to know ISIS only from news reports.

The publication reported the men claimed they only went to Syria to help people.

But Sutkovic was spotted in an ISIS propaganda video with former London postman Harry Sarfo, according to Bild.

Sarfo, originally also from Bremen, is currently serving a three-year sentence in Germany for membership of a terrorist organization and breaching weapons export laws.

The former Wickes employee was arrested after returning to Germany when a video was released by the terror group showing him at a mass execution in the Syrian city of Palmyra.

It was reported the pair travelled to Syria together from Bremen after being radicalized in prison by hate preacher Rene Marc Sepac.
