Cologne (Germany)- Miss Germany Lena Broder has decided to waive her beauty crown and resume her carrier as a teacher at a local school. After getting the permission, Broder suspended teaching for around a year to dedicate her time to her new tasks as Miss Germany.

In an interview with the German News Agency, Broder, 27, said that she will face many curious questions at her workplace, but they will end sooner or later after she resumes her teaching job.

Commenting on the possibility of facing bullying cases from students, she said that being elected “Miss Germany” is not only about beauty, but also about the beauty and power of personality.

She believes her personality will help her confront such situations.

The beauty queen said that she stood before a jury at pageants. However, students are a tougher jury to deal with.

Broder said that she intends to resume work at the same school where she was working before her election as Miss Germany in 2016.

Broder was crowned 11 month ago, and her successor is set to be elected on February 18.

According to Miss Germany organizers, this pageant has been the oldest and most important beauty contest in the country because it had started 90 years ago.
