After days of issuing the British Report on Muslim Brotherhood, which concluded that the membership of or links to the political group should be considered a possible indicator of extremism, the Former Muslim Brotherhood Spokesman Dr. Kamal al- Hilbawi told Asharq Al-Awsat in a phone call in Cairo, where he resides, that that the group must pursue preachers and those involved in any terrorist act and consider them an offender to the group’s approach. He also called them for admitting these mistakes pointing out to the fact that they are banned in Egypt and accused of being terrorists.

Al-Hilbawi saw that the Muslim Brotherhood must take critical decisions to protect its institutions and exclude members accused of violence. He specified the organization’s branch in London and revealed tens of institutions found in Britain and work under the banner of the group, including the “Muslim League”.

Al-Hilbawi confirmed that much talks about the “Hamas” movement being a military arm for the group is dangerous and will expand the risks on the Brotherhood. He added that during his residence in Britain and being responsible of the group there was about 700 to 800 members, but today he assumes there is about 1300 member in London’s Brotherhood organization.

The report released by Britain reveals the mysterious relation between the Extremists and the Muslim Brotherhood group concerning their intellectual creed. Nevertheless, a speech made by the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, indicated that despite the Brotherhood’s announcement on opposing al-Qaeda organization, yet they didn’t denounce some terrorist organization’s exploitation for the writings of one of the most prominent thinkers in the Muslim Brotherhood, Said Qatb.
