Casablanca- Under its Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is determined to boost economic partnership with Morocco, particularly by increasing the volume of direct foreign investment, said Head of Moroccan-Saudi Council of Business Mohamed Fahd al-Hammadi.

The statement was made during a preparatory meeting of the council held on Sunday in Casablanca.

Hammadi stressed that the delegation will have a series of meetings with the Saudi Moroccan businessmen and economic figures to discuss aspects of economic cooperation, adding that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 offers important investment facilities.

The visit will also reopen the discussion on the proposed maritime commercial line between the two kingdoms, he noted, pointing out that this project will undoubtedly boost the volume of trade between the two countries.

Talks are currently underway between Saudi investors representing the Saudi side of the Saudi-Moroccan Business Council with their Moroccan counterpart concerning trade cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Hammadi added that the Saudi delegation will be attending activities of the 15th Global Constructions Exhibition – which will be held at the Moroccan capital of Casablanca with over 650 participants from around 20 different countries – with the aim of encouraging Saudi investors to enter the Moroccan market.

Additionally, the Saudi delegation will partake in the 4th Gulf-Moroccan Investments Forum, set to take place at Sheraton Casablanca, in which Hammadi will be participating as a keynote speaker.

He stressed the importance of the forum as a great opportunity for Saudi businessmen to meet their Moroccan counterpart and be more informed on the investment climate and opportunities in the Moroccan Kingdom.
