Casablanca – A Saudi economic delegation, consisting of 16 members, is carrying out a tour in Morocco (Casablanca, Rabat and Agadir) to meet their Moroccan counterparts and discuss possible cooperation opportunities in investment and commercial fields.

Mohamed Fahd al-Hamadi, chairman of the Moroccan-Saudi Business Council, headed the Saudi delegation that participated on Monday in the Saudi-Moroccan Business Council meeting in Casablanca – delegation members also held bilateral meetings with Moroccan businessmen to discuss commercial and business opportunities.

The Saudi delegation convened with Regional Investment Center in Casablanca to get introduced to the available chances and facilities provided by the commercial and economic capital of Morocco to the investors as well as the giant structural projects being executed in Casablanca.

The second day of the visit was dedicated to the political capital Rabat in which the delegation is expected to meet on Tuesday Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Saudi ambassador to Morocco, and officials from the Moroccan Ministry of Environment before arranging business meetings with Moroccan counterparts in Rabat Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services.

The delegation will later head towards Agadir where an intensive program with businessmen and high officials is prepared to introduce it to the investment and partnership opportunities in the region.

This visit falls under the Saudi plan for agricultural investment aiming at reinforcing food security.

Hamadi stated in the beginning of the Saudi visit to Morocco that among the main targets of this visit is to inform the Moroccan business society of the Saudi Vision 2030 and investment and partnership opportunities along with it, not to mention the key role of the private sector in this vision.
