Essibsi declared a state of emergency in the country, after 38 tourists were killed in an attack on the Sousse holiday resort on 26 June, the Tunisian state news agency TAP reported. ‘I have decided to declare the state of emergency throughout Tunisia for 30 days,’ Essibsi said in a televized address.
