Makkah- Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Muhammad Saleh Benten confirmed that Iranian Hajj pilgrims living abroad will be enjoying the same services provided by the kingdom to all pilgrims visiting for this Hajj season.

With over a million pilgrims reaching Makkah, a few more are expected to arrive in the upcoming days.

The Makkah control room at the Hajj ministry has been upgraded to match out the latest security installment made available to this year’s pilgrims, e-bracelets. Over a million hi-tech bracelets have been distributed.

The Hajj top official, Dr. Benten, during the launch of a seminar covering this Hajj’s season on Sunday said that the Kingdom openhandedly welcomes everyone from any part of the world. All nationalities, ethnicities and sects are welcomed.

Dr. Benten said in his speech during the opening of the Grand Hajj Seminar that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strengthened the discourse of moderation, Islam is a religion of tolerance and peace, and calling for it must be in wisdom and good advice.

He added that the efforts being exerted by the Government of the Kingdom answering to the directives issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz have come as an extension and embodiment of its approach and noble principles to serve Islam and Muslims, according to SPA.

He concluded that the goals of the Grand Hajj Seminar are to spread the tolerant values of Islam and enhance the solidarity of the nation through communicating of scholars and intellectuals.

Dr.Benten also highlighted that all pilgrims who had arrived enjoy all services provided by the Kingdom and are preparing for the nearing Hajj rites.

He stressed that Iranians who had arrived along with the rest of pilgrims from all around the world enjoy services provided equally.

The annual Grand Hajj Seminar currently holds its 41st round, and is attended by Muslim scholars coming from all backgrounds that gather to research, discuss and connect. The event serves as a podium for exchanging intellectual thought concerning Islam.
