Mecca: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud directed on Monday all government and private sectors and bodies concerned with the services of pilgrims, stressing the importance of joint effort to provide the best services to pilgrims and facilitate all ways to perform their Hajj rituals easily and comfortably.

King Salman’s recommendations came during a cabinet session he chaired at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also Chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee spoke on Monday about Hajj-related issues.

The Saudi crown prince said Saudi Arabia spared no effort to provide state-of-the-art services for the safety, comfort and security of all pilgrims.

Commenting on Iranian media and senior officials blaming Saudi Arabia for not enabling Iranian pilgrims to perform Hajj this year, he said: “What was aroused by Iranian media and some officials is not based on credibility and objectivity, they know before others that the Kingdom has provided Iranian pilgrims, as the rest of pilgrims, with all the facilities.”

However, the Crown Prince added that the Iranian Hajj Mission this year has put forward claims contrary to the purposes of the pilgrimage in a way that endangers the security of pilgrims, including the safety of the Iranians.

Concerning Yemeni pilgrims, Prince Mohammed Bin Naif said Saudi Arabia welcomes all pilgrims who come to attend the ritual of Hajj from any country in the world.

“Yemeni pilgrims, in particular, are always welcome to benefit from the facilities provided for them by the Kingdom who understands their special situations,” he said, adding that Houthis and their allies are the ones who might derail Yemenis from securing their personal wills to perform Hajj.

“Houthis want to exploit Yemeni pilgrims to reach well-known propaganda goals away from Hajj real objectives,” Prince Mohammed Bin Naif said.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques had expressed his thanks and appreciation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif for all the efforts exerted by the concerned bodies to upgrade the level of services provided to pilgrims, thanking Allah Almighty that pilgrims perform their Hajj rituals in security and safety, and praying for the acceptance of their Hajj rituals.

The Minister of State, Cabinet’s Member, and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Said pointed out in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet commended the results of visits of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Pakistan, China and Japan and his representation of the Kingdom at the summit of leaders of the Group of twenty.
