Washington – U.S. President Donald Trump will be the least popular newly inaugurated U.S. president in the history of U.S. presidents.

A survey conducted by Washington Post and ABC News revealed that 405% of Americans approve the way Trump handled the presidential transition. Washington Post showed that Trump begins his presidential term as the least popular president since Jimmy Carter in 1977.

In the same poll, Trump popularity comes 21% behind that of Barack Obama, who has earned to himself 61%.

67% of Americans expressed positive impressions regarding Bill Clinton while 62% regarding George W. Bush – this reveals the deep division among Americans regarding their new president.

Analysts trigger questions concerning the results of these surveys, their significance and whether they are disastrous and expressing a real division in the U.S. public view. However Trump mocked these statistics and surveys, as usual, and claimed that they are fake ones just like those of Hillary Clinton.

Up to 60% were certain that Trump will take necessary steps to implement successful economic policies. 61% seemed optimistic towards providing jobs of decent salaries in economically challenged areas. 51% supported Trump in his combat against ISIS.

Less than 44% expressed confidence in Trump’s ability to fulfill his promise and build a wall between Mexico and U.S. While, 29% said they believe in Trump’s ability to persuade Mexico to compensate the cost of building the wall.

Expectations dropped to 50% concerning Trump’s dealing with helping the mid-class, tackling financial deficit and appointments in the Supreme Court of the United States and dealing with health care – especially with the Republicans tendency to repeal Obamacare without an alternative program.

One of the reasons that caused the decline in Trump’s popularity is his relations with Russia, amidst ongoing investigations on possible intervention of Russia in the U.S. presidential elections.
