Jeddah-Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, confirmed that the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz is keen to boost the Kingdom’s security capabilities and protect land, sea and air regions by providing its forces with the latest high-tech armament and advanced defense equipment.

Among these, the Crown Prince said, is the high-speed marine interceptors that top the list of interception and pursuit vessels in the world. These, will deter anyone who is tempted to cross the Kingdom’s marine borders.

This came during the Crown Prince’s inspection, on Tuesday in Jeddah, of the vanguards Marine Means Project, which is supervised by Interior Ministry’s Agency for Security Planning and Development, which include marine interceptors and high-speed vessels.

Director General of Border Guard, Vice Admiral Awwad bin Eid Al-Balawi explained that these equipment are considered developmental quantum leap, which will contribute in boosting the security and safety capabilities of all the Kingdom’s regions since they are characterized by high speed to intercept and chase quick targets.

The Crown Prince was companied by Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, adviser to the Minister of Interior and Abdullah al-Hammad, assistant to the Interior Minister for administrative and financial affairs.
