Jeddah- Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior patronized on Wednesday, “Deluge 6” exercise and the graduation ceremony of a number of border guards, at Mohammed bin Nayef Maritime Academy in Jeddah.

The number of graduates reached 2412 from officers and members in a number of rehabilitation, foundational and specialized courses, including the international course titled “Interdicting Maritime Crimes”, with the participation of trainers from 17 different countries.

Upon arrival at the venue, the Crown Prince was received by the Director General of the Border Guard Adm. Awad bin Eid Al-Balawi and a number of senior, civil and military officials. After taking his place at the podium, the exercise began as a naval intercept was conducted, with the participation of aviation security and other units.

In addition, and following the exercise, the Crown Prince inaugurated the first phase of the project of Mohammed bin Nayef Academy of Marine Science and Security Studies.

The Crown Prince, then, and the audience attended a visual presentation entitled “Towards integration with smart technology” and were briefed on the model for the academy and an explanation of related projects that will be implemented later.

HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef watched the military parade queue and models for a number of new machines.

On the other hand, the academy students performed the formation of panel borders of the Kingdom and the academy’s anthem. Other students swore for loyalty and obedience, and after the announcement of the overall results of the sessions, top graduates were honored in a number of the academy’s courses.

For his part, Al-Balawi addressed the audience, recalling the security processes the Kingdom has witnessed since the reign of the founder King Abdulaziz up to the current reign of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

He reviewed the regional threats that the nation and the border guards are facing due to the security and political situations in some countries.

He also said Saudi border guards have reached this phase as a result of the directives of the Crown Prince Mohamed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz that underscore the importance of qualifying and training the guards to perform their duties professionally in different conditions and sites.

HRH concluded the ceremony by gracing the graduates and receiving a memorial present from the Director General. The Crown Prince toured the exhibition to view the armament capabilities and was briefed by the curators on displayed items.
