Sudan Condemns the Terrorist Attack, Vows Investigations about the Sudanese Criminal | ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive 2005 -2017

Riyadh – The Sudanese government condemned the attack attempt on al-Jawhara stadium at which a terrorist tried to target the stadium west of Jeddah.

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry announced on Sunday that it foiled an attack by a terror cell formed of 4 persons who had planned to detonate a car bomb stationed at the parking lot of al-Jawhara Football Stadium three weeks ago during a football match between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The terrorist cell formed of two Pakistanis Saliman Arab Deen and Farman Allah Nagshbund Khan, one Sudanese Abdulazeem Al-Taher Abdullah Ibrahim, and a Hassan Abdulkareem Haj Mohammed Syrian.

Speaking to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, deputy chief of the Sudanese mission in Riyadh Ahmed al-Tijani Suwar said that both the people and the government of Sudan strongly condemn this terrorist act.

Suwar expressed his sorrow for all the martyrs who died during the operation, adding that Sudan supports the kingdom with its war against terrorists and terrorism.

Ambassador Suwar reiterated that terrorism is everyone’s enemy, calling for the ultimate punishment for the criminals who did this crime.

He added that Sudan will stop any terrorist attempt that targets the security and safety of the kingdom.

Similarly, Pakistan also condemned any terrorist act on Saudi Arabia. In a letter sent from embassy of Pakistan in Saudi Arabia to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, the country reiterated the brotherhood between the two states and confirmed its support to the kingdom.
