Riyadh-A delegation from North Kordofan, led by the Chairman of the Higher Committee Supporting the Campaign of North Kordofan State’s Development Field Marshal Abdel Rahman Swar al-Dahab and the Governor of the State Ahmed Mohamed Haroun have reviewed with the Chairman of the Council of the Saudi Commercial Chambers Abdul-Rahman Al-Zamil economic and investment relations between the two countries, in the presence of Sudan Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdul-Hafiz Ibrahim.

Swar al-Dahab pointed out to the depth of the Sudanese-Saudi relations in all fields, stressing the importance of exploiting these relations in the development of economic and investment cooperation in order to implement successful projects according to the directives of the leaderships of the two states and the Arab Food Security Conference.

He added that the bonds of joint destiny are the key guide for the relations between the two brotherly countries in the political, economic and security fields.

The Decisive storm and the North Thunder Maneuver are the models, he explained.

Haroun, meanwhile, announced an initiative to hold an investment forum next October in Al-Obied, the capital of North Kordofan, to benefit from the state’s comparative advantage in the field of meat exportation and oil seeds as well as agriculture, complementary manufacturing, tinning, glass and dairy and tourism activities.

He referred to the importance of the state strategic site, availability of water, lands and minerals, pledging provision of the required facilities and simplification of administrative procedures.

Haroun praised the experience of Saudi “Nadek” company in the agricultural and animal fields and its successful partnership.

For his part, Dr. Al-Zamil underscored, the depth and durability of Sudanese-Saudi relations, stressing that the strong ties between the two countries and coordination between their leaderships make it essential to seek the completion of investment projects, pointing to the need for action studies for ambitious projects embody the depth of these relations.
