Riyadh – Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) revealed its constant attempts to adapt to its vision specifically designed to support trade and economic partnership between Japan and Saudi Arabia in accordance with Vision 2030.

Head of JETRO Riyadh Office told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the plan is to expand its work in the fields of economy, energy and industry, as well as enhancing partnerships in Petrochemicals and Atomic energies.

He added that work is more serious that ever to create a serious transition.

He explained that JETRO Riyadh Office, a semi-governmental non-profit organization, that was inaugurated in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in October 1994.

Since its beginning JETRO worked as a catalyst and dedicate its utmost efforts to promote and enhance mutual cooperation between Japan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

To this end, JETRO Riyadh Office cooperates with various Ministries, Governmental organizations, Semi-Governmental organization, Private and Public sectors in Saudi Arabia and Japan to achieve its objectives.

The chairman of JETRO Riyadh office pointed out that the visit of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Japan last September and the visit of Hiroshige Seko, Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), created a solid base for creating strategic partnership between the two countries.

Board member of Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC), Abdulallah al-Mlihi said that Saudi-Japanese economic relations have an effective role in the kingdom’s market. He added that there are many Japanese products in different sectors including electricity, technology and cars.

The board member told Asharq Al-Awsat that it is important to establish offices in both Riyadh and Tokyo to facilitate trade and investments between both countries.

Mlihi also pointed out that exchanged visits between both countries and exhibitions will promote the results of the cooperation strategy.
