Cairo – After 15 years of investigation efforts seeking evidence and amid many threats, Janjah Abdul Mone’m, sister of the Egyptian late star Soad Hosny released a book entitled “Soad…Secrets of the Crime” including many documents that prove the involvement of people who were serving in leading positions during the rule of President Hosny Mubarak.

The book also disclosed details on the actress relationship with the famous signer Abdel Halim Hafez and their secret marriage and divorce along with the marriage documents to put an end to rumors that long surrounded this discrete celebrity marriage.

The book’s signature-ceremony was held on Sunday in the Cataract Hotel with the attendance of some Egyptian stars and the Media Figure Wael al-Abrashi. Janjah told Asharq al-Awsat that she faced constant threats since she started her investigations – they offered her huge amounts of money and threatened to kill her family members, however she insisted on revealing the truth behind the mysterious murder of her sister.

In her book, she also revealed that the late star left recorded tapes in Paris to tell her biography and the oppression she faced from Salah Nassr supporters in the Egyptian intelligence body during the Rule of Jamal Abdul Nasser.

Soad Hosny was murdered on 21 June 2001 after she fell from her residence in London and ever since that time, her sister insisted on following the Scotland Yard’s investigations on her death and on collecting all the documents she can find with the help of her friends. The enigma of Hosny’s death caused a major debate at that time and many interviews showed on the Egyptian TV with the Star Samir Sabri and the Hosny’s sister showed that a big secret was hidden behind the Cinderella’s death.

Abdul Mone’m considered that she fulfilled her sister’s dream with the help of the publishing house – despite the suspension of the printing process many times. The house kept the book’s announcement discrete till the period before the signature and it preferred it to be written by Jahnjah to avoid secrets’ leaks.

Soad Hosny starred 90 movies and series and received many awards – she got married five times but didn’t have children. According to her sister, her marriage from Hafez was the happiest stage of her life despite the continuous threats she faced from the Egyptian intelligence.
