Erbil- The Kurdistan Freedom Falcons, TAK, have claimed responsibility for the attack in Izmir that has left three members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) severely injured.

A leader at TAK reported to Asharq Al-Awsat that some TAK units attacked two days ago location number 11 and injured three members of the IRCG – consequently, fiery clashes sparked between the two parties.

After TAK seized the location for thirty minutes, its units withdrew and IRCG progressed to impose a strict security cordon, according to TAK leader.

“Our military operations on the Iranian territory will not stop as they target security and military sites attributed to the terrorist Iranian regime that is depriving freedoms, killing, torturing, disturbing and arresting people on a daily basis,” he added.

TAK leader continued, “Moreover, these sites are considered as training centers to prepare terrorists on the military and intellectual levels before sending them to ISIS, al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.”

“Iranians involved with ISIS were trained in these centers, which are supervised by IRGC… Our operation came as a response to Iranian military mobilization and to Tehran practices and interferences in the region, not to mention killing innocent people,” he added.

In the same context, another member of TAK told Asharq al-Awsat “This is the sixth operation of TAK against the Iranian regime in Iranian Kurdistan … The Iranian regime has transferred these regions into military ones and reinforced military existence on the border with Iraqi Kurdistan.”

To him, this mobilization represents an equal threat to the government and citizens of Iranian and Iraqi Kurdistan.
