The two largest hospitals and a bread distribution centre in Aleppo were bombed by the Syrian regime and Russia on the tenth day of the military campaign on Aleppo. A number of people died and were wounded, and a civil defence official in the city warned that daily life in Aleppo will become “hell” during the coming month as Russian and Syria airstrikes continue. He added that there may be a “massacre” in the city in the event that the city fell to the Syrian regime.

The organisation Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) demanded in a tweet that it posted on Twitter that “the wounded and the critically sick be evacuated from eastern Aleppo” and commented that “they are now caught in a trap and may be dying”.

On its part, the World Health Organisation (WHO) warned that medical equipment in eastern Aleppo is on the verge of “complete destruction” and demanded “the establishment of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of the sick and wounded”.

Syrian forces asked the population of eastern Aleppo to leave in the direction of areas under the control of the Syrian regime’s forces after announcing the launch of the attack. However, the majority of the population fear that they will be arrested when they cross into western Aleppo.
