Beirut, Moscow-Syrian Opposition is anticipating outcomes of Russian-U.S. movement. Details are not available yet except for what was reported by the media about a comprehensive agreement that is being discussed between U.S., Russian foreign ministers and European counterparts.

A high-delegates meeting is scheduled next week in Geneva to discuss the Syrian crisis. Officials from Russia, U.S. and U.K. will attend the meeting.

Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said that a military cooperation with Russia is unlikely at the current time. “Russia announces plans to combat terrorism but acts otherwise; instead of fighting terrorism Russia supported Assad in defying the moderate opposition”, Carter added.

Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharov said that intensive talks are being held in Geneva between experts from Russia and U.S. about the Syrian case. “The main mission is to resume negotiations”, added Zakharov.

HNC spokesperson Riad Nassan Agha told Asharq Al-Awsat that several points are still unclear in the leaked information, including the absence of a plan to protect civilians.
